Cascade Lake
Recreation Area offers the ultimate in family campground excellence
in the "Land of the Waterfalls". It is located adjacent
to the Dupont State Forest. The Recreation Area includes a campground
with 160 sites, shaded by red maple, white oak, hemlock, and
other native tree species. Our lakeside campsites are surrounded
on all sides by native flora and fauna and may just give our
campers some of the best sunset views around.
The
beach is private and limited to guests only. There are two lakes,
one boat ramp and private boat docks available. Boat motors are
limited to 12hp on the lake. Fish for trout and bass, or take
a "cruise" in a pedal boat to relax while enjoying our
beautiful mountain scenery. Rent a canoe and paddle up to one
of Western NC's most visited waterfalls: Hooker Falls! Pisgah
National Forest is only a short drive away, boasting some of the
best hiking, camping, biking and fly fishing opportunities in
the country.

arrival is delayed up to one hour (11:00 pm), call 828-877-4475
for late arrival accommodation information.

arriving after 11:00 pm, the night security will escort you
to a parking area near the gatehouse until 7:00 am.
