Looking Glass Falls

A beautiful 30-foot wide waterfall drops unbroken more than 60 feet down a rock cliff. Located only 16 miles from campground on US 276 in Pisgah National Forest.

Sliding Rock Recreation Area

A popular natural waterslide and water play area located 18 miles from the campground on US 276 in Pisgah National Forest. Fee area.

The Cradle of Forestry Discovery Center
Discover the birthplace of American forestry. Eight historic buildings, living history interpretation and a restored logging locomotive. Fee area. 21 miles from campground.

The Pisgah Center for Wildlife Education
16 miles from campground. Nature Center focuses on local species of wildlife in the NC mountains. A short movie, hiking trails and gift shop are just a few of the things you can take part in.
